Leaving Galaxy Behind in the Box
Gerald and Gertrude's little Giovani, from their 2nd clutch, decides he'd rather be outside for the day, much to the surprise of his big sister, Galaxy! She seems to question why he would be leaving her! She looks as though she might be thinking, "What in the world are you doing little brother?"
Giovani Seen in the Yard
Later on in the day, I was out cooling things down in the yard and happened to look over by the fence line next door. I found little Giovani in the back of our neighbor's yard, under their tree! He looked like he was resting, but wanted to be close to the nest box! Poor little guy!
When he spotted me, he obviously felt threatened and took the Barn Owl protective posturing!
Later in the afternoon, he is spotted in the yard, working his way across the shade covers!
